Could someone tell me what a John Deere Canopy would run for a John Deere 950 ?? Are these only available through a John Deere Dealer ??? Any other alternatives ??? Thanks for the Help !!!

Barry, I bought a canopy for a JD 4300 for $375. I bought it through the JD dealer when I bought the tractor and he said he would charge me his cost plus shipping. It is an after market item manufactured in Phoenix. It is fiberglass with metal braces and is JD green. The name of the manufacturer was Sun somthing. I'll see if I can get the full name. This summer it has been worth every penny I paid. ....

I got a canopy from the dealer like Eddie Watkins for about the same price. I also can't imagine being without it. It does an excellent job of keeping me out of the sun, plus it's a great place to mount tilt meters, clocks, etc.. Unfortunately when I mounted the tilt meter I obscured the manufacturers name. Try doing a search and I'm sure you'll come up with a lead or two. ....

Barry, when I bought my Kubota, I could have gotten a genuine Kubota canopy with it for $395 (some kind of plastic or composition material) and I'm sure it was probably pretty good, but instead the dealer installed an insulated steel canopy, painted to match the tractor, for $295 (and I like it a lot better). I don't know much about the company that made it, but it was the Wells Ag Company in Elm Mott, Texas. ....
